The word 'stopfinder' is displayed with a stop sign icon.

Stopfinder is easy to use, all-in-one parent engagement app designed by parents for parents. Know where your child’s bus is and have the most accurate information about your child’s bus schedule in the palm of your hand. The Transportation Services Department and registered users (subscribers) stay connected by sending and receiving messages through the secure Stopfinder app directly to their phone or tablet.

The InfoFinder logo features text and a house icon.

Visit the interactive website to locate bus stops, identify bus numbers, and times for bus pick up and drop off near your home address.

Early Closure - Eligibility - Misconduct - Parent Letter

Whenever possible, school closure announcements will be made the evening before via notification system and on all 10 p.m. TV and radio broadcasts. If it is not possible, an announcement will be made by 5:30 a.m. If school is closed during the day due to a snowstorm, it is determined that all students have satisfactory transportation. Parent instructions from each student’s emergency closure form are followed.

The LCSD1 Transportation Services Department follows the Wyoming Department of Education Chapter 20 rules for student transportation.  Eligible students must reside outside the “no transportation zone” which is the area around a school encompassed by a radius of:

  • 2.00 miles for secondary students
  • 1.00 mile for elementary students

Transportation Services information regarding all students should be obtained by calling the appropriate school prior to calling the LCSD1 Transportation Services Department at (307)771-2628.

Check out Infofinder, where you can find bus stops and times.

Check out Stopfinder, where you can get setup with the bus location app. Talk to Transportation Services to get set up.

If there is an infraction of the rules the driver may give the student a misconduct sheet indicating the problem and that sheet will need to be signed by the parent before the student can ride the bus again.  If necessary, the parent will be asked to attend a meeting with the LCSD1 Transportation Services supervisor, driver and the student’s principal to correct the problem.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! We are excited for the new school year so to start things smoothly; we want to share a few reminders and updates.

How to Find Your Bus Route and Get Notified

To get the most specific information for your student, you need to use the district's online tool, InfoFinder i. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Go to the website: Visit the Laramie County School District #1 website.
  2. Navigate: Click on "Family & Students," Click on Bus Stops and Times."
  3. Use the Tool: On the page, click the "InfoFinder i" tab. Enter your street address and zip code to see the specific bus number, stop location, and stop times for your student.

Staying Informed with Notifications

The district uses two main apps to communicate route changes, delays, and weather updates.

  • StopFinder: This app gives you real-time information about your child's bus location and schedule.
    • If you used it last year, you are still registered.
    • If you have a new Kindergarten student or are a new user, you must contact the Transportation Department at (307) 771-2628 for an invitation to download the app. Make sure your email is up-to-date with your student's school first.
  • ParentSquare: This service sends emails, phone calls, and texts for the same announcements.

New Inclement Weather Plan

For the 2025-2026 school year, the district has a new plan for bad weather.

  • Snow Routes: All rural routes will now have a pre-planned "Snow Route" that uses main roads. Instead of individual stops, there will be "pool" stops where parents will need to drop off and pick up students.
  • Alerts: These Snow Routes will be activated on a route-by-route basis and communicated to you through StopFinder and ParentSquare.
