Oct. 27—Zeman Collins

Zeman Collins, a senior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 27.
Collins was recognized by the committee for his leadership, academic excellence and dedication to his studies and extracurricular activities. He is among the top students in his class and maintains a high GPA.
He serves as the vice president of the Central National Honor Society and the Central Science National Honor Society. Collins is a two-time national qualifier and state champion in DECA. He is also involved in the French Honor Society and Key Club. Additionally, he co-founded the Central Finance and Investing Club, where he directs marketing efforts.
Collins has played hockey for 15 years, which includes competing with the Capitals and Team Wyoming. He also represents Central in tennis and is a two-time doubles champion.
Following graduation, Collins plans to pursue a career in finance and data analytics.
Collins selected Mari Eisenhart as his favorite teacher because she makes challenging classes enjoyable and brings humor into the classroom.
