Feb. 9—Itzel Soto Dominguez

Itzel Soto Dominguez, a seventh grade student at Johnson Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1's Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 9.
Soto Dominguez was selected for her dedication, reliability, and commitment to success. She is an active member of Student Council and is known for leading by example through her calm demeanor and willingness to help others succeed.
Soto Dominguez is known for being patient and kind to her peers, often stepping in to help when others are struggling.
"She embodies the values of collaboration, respect, and responsibility; and she is truly deserving of being recognized as Student of the Week," said Johnson Principal Aaron Moon.
Soto Dominguez selected Karen Perez Sapien as her favorite teacher because she is patient, kind, and helps her understand the material when she needs help. Soto Dominguez added that Perez Sapien makes learning fun and is an amazing teacher.
