Madison Marquer, a social studies teacher at Carey Junior High, has been selected as the LCSD1 Board Employee Spotlight for the month of February. He was recognized on Monday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Storey Gym Boardroom, 2811 House Ave.

Marquer has been a teacher at Carey Junior High since August 2024 and is known for having an incredibly positive attitude.  In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Marquer started the first Esports club at Carey. 

“He is a selfless person who goes above and beyond to serve others,” CTEA Unit President Will Barnes said.
